Northwest Wingless Tour Heads Back To CGS

Cottage Grove, Oregon- After spending the last two races at the Sunset Speedway Park in Banks the Northwest Wingless Tour is excited to return to the Cottage Grove Speedway Saturday June 8th. Already the season has been quite incredible with the first four races being won by four different winners. Cottage Grove will no doubt be another thrilling installment into the 2013 season.

As mentioned there has been no repeat winner thus far in the series this year. That could change this Saturday or it not. When the tour has been in town Kyle Mehner and Kyle Miller have had visited victory lane at CGS. In the last two events Sterling Kane and Mitch Hoffses have been winners in NWWT action.

“We’ve been solid at Cottage Grove this year,” stated point leader Sterling Kane, “I’m hoping to bounce back after my flip at Banks a few weeks ago.”

Since 2009 the Northwest Wingless Tour has visited the Cottage Grove Speedway twelve times and has produced five different winners. Kyle Miller, the most recent victor, leads that list of winners with a total of seven victories. Kyler Barraza is the only driver to win on more than one occasion with a total of two wins. Drivers with a single triumph include Roger Crockett, Dale Smith, and Kyle Mehner.

Despite having a flip in round four up at Sunset Sterling Kane would retain his points lead over defending champ Bill Winsley. Current NWSprintCarHistory.com Rookie of the Year contender Rob Lindesy is third in points followed by Joe Bosso Jr. in fourth. Fifth in points is standout Mitch Hoffses who has won three in four starts between Non-Winged and Winged Sprint Cars.

In 2013 the Northwest Wingless Tour will partake in eighteen races at four different race tracks in the states of Oregon and Washington. In four seasons there have been four different champions in this organization that has started to become pretty popular among fans and drivers in the Northwest.
