Cottage Grove, Oregon- The Cottage Grove Speedway is excited to return to racing this Saturday June 22nd. The ¼-mile clay oval will have four classes on hand to entertain fans all night long. Those classes include the 360 Sprints, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

In 360 Sprint action Roger Crockett has won all four races. But it sounds like a new face may grace victory lane as Crockett has embarked north for the Dirt Cup at the Skagit Speedway this weekend leaving open for anyone to win. In the Late Models Collen Winebarger has managed to visit victory lane three times and is the only driver to have won more than one feature. Paul Culp and Shaun Mayea both have one win each.

In Street Stock competition Daniel Ray has the most wins in the class with two. Joining him on the win list is Jordan Braaten, Darin Crooks, and last week’s winner Steve Begley. In the Hornet division Joe Maricle has the most victories in 2013 with three while Kolby Clay has two and Jim Simmons has one. Both James Deatherage and Evan Britton have visited victory lane once but they were non-point wins.

Tickets for the races on Saturday are $12.00 for Adults, Senior/Military/Junior (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children under the age of five are FREE. A Family Pass is offered for $30.00 which includes two Adults and up to four Youths. Pit gates open at 2:00 PM, front gates 4:00, time trials 5:30, and racing stats around 6:45.

The Cottage Grove Speedway has hosted fast and exciting action as far back as 1956. Since then the ¼-mile banked oval has been regarded as a place where fast times are set and plenty of side-by-side racing occurs. Regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets from the months of April till October every Saturday night. For more information be sure and visit the venue’s homepage www.cottagegrovespeedway.com or call the brand new Northwest Tracks Hotline at (360)-699-RACE.
