Karts To Take Center Stage At Cottage Grove Speedway On Friday

Cottage Grove, OR- The Kage Karts will be the headlining card this weekend at the Cottage Grove Speedway as the ¼-mile portion of racing is due to the Western Oregon Exposition. CGS will play host to the second leg of the first ever Summer Sizzle Tour which features some of the biggest Kart names in the Pacific Northwest.
General Admission is FREE to spectators wanting to watch the action from the stands while Pit Passes are $10.00 and the Kart and Driver fee is $40.00. Racing is expected to get going around 6:30-6:45 PM. This is the first Kage Kart race in Cottage Grove for over two months at Cottage Grove but don’t expect these guys and gals to be rusty at all because the vast majority has been competing every weekend at tracks all over the Western United States.
Action on the ¼-mile clay oval will get back to business on Friday August 23rd for the final 2013 appearance of the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region at “The Grove” in addition to Hornets as the support class. Saturday August 24th will cap off the double header with the Northwest Extreme Sprints, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets competing in another night of excitement.
The Cottage Grove Speedway Karts have provided several stars of both the ¼-mile as well as the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region over the decades from the program. Competing on an exact miniature replica of the famed high banked bullring the action is breathtaking.
