Northwest Wingless Tour Opens Up 2014 At CGS

Cottage Grove, Oregon- The 2014 season for the Northwest Wingless Tour is set to get underway at the Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday May 3rd. Originally their season opener was scheduled for April 19th at Sunset Speedway Park but unfortunately that event was rained out. The first race will kick off the first of eight races this year for the NWWT and will be the sixth season in the history of the series.
The Northwest Wingless Tour will visit the Cottage Grove Speedway a total of three times in 2014 including this weekend. Also in the house will be regulars of the Oregon Double Shot Series which should provide a very strong car count for the evening.
Seventeen total NWWT sanctioned races have occurred at CGS since the series was formed in 2009. Kyle Miller has a firm grip of the win list with twelve triumphs including six times in 2013. Kyler Barraza is the only other multi-race winner with two while Roger Crockett, Dale Smith, and Kyle Mehner each have one.
In 2014 the Northwest Wingless Tour will participate in eight events at four different facilities in the Pacific Northwest. For the latest information log on to wingless.nwextremeseries.com. Also be sure and “like” us on Facebook.
