The second night for the Northwest Extreme Sprints would be a good one on Sunday May 25th. Another field of ten cars would assemble at the Cottage Grove Speedway to put on a terrific show on the historic ¼-mile clay oval.

After taking pretty much the entire 2013 and in only his third start Orion Redmond would dominate the main event. The only thing that would slow him down was a lap seventeen caution which would bunch the field up. Redmond, from Roseburg and driving his Redmond Trucking #12 J&J, would lead the entire distance of the twenty-lap race to pick up his first win at CGS since 2012.

Jesse Thistle of Creswell was second in the RCV Custom Coach Service/Cobalt Computer Services/William & Mathis Accounting/All Around Printing #4 XXX while third went to Dave Hibbard in his C&H Motorsports/Tangible Real Estate Investments/Carpet & Vinyl Liquidators #3 Zeitler. The rest of the top five would see Steven Horner of Cottage Grove make his return in quite some time chauffeuring the Horners Inc./BC Motorsports/Steelhouse Metal Roofing Supply #75H Maxim to fourth place finish and Dusty Redmond of Roseburg, and Orion’s father, was fifth in the Redmond Trucking/Whit-Log Trailers/Independent Thinning #57 Rocket.
