Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway is going to be the place to be this weekend as it will host two nights, yes two night of American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region action starting with Friday June 13th and Saturday the 14th. The fine folks at Relay For Life will be on hand for both nights of action and like in years past the track will be opened up for drivers and spectators to walk the track. Also Relay For Life will be conducting the 50/50 raffle each night.

The ASCS-Northwest Region were in action in late May for two nights with Seth Bergman sweeping both dates but with Bergman back out on the ASCS-National Tour it is anyone’s race to win. In domestic competition Roger Crockett and Henry Van Dam have managed to pick up victories with Van Dam winning the Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic on May 31st. Support classes on Friday is the Northwest Extreme Modifieds and Hornets and on Saturday it will be IMCA Modifieds and Street Stocks.

The Northwest Extreme Modifieds have had two different winners in as many races including Brandon Potter and David Schmidt while in the Hornets Tauntom Swaim has won all three point events this season but K.C. Scott does have a non-point win to his credit. Out of four IMCA Modified races at CGS Braedon Hand has won three times and the only driver that has managed to finish ahead of him in main event competition is Mark Wauge with just one win. In the Street Stocks drivers that are credited with one win include T.J. Langan, Ethan Landers, and Steve Begley while Justin Evans has scored two CGS main event triumphs.

For each night the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:45. Ticket prices per event are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.
