Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway will be the host of two nights of racing on Friday June 13th and Saturday the 14th for the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region. The fine folks from Relay For Life will be on hand both nights and the track will be opened up to everyone for a period of time for folks to walk due to it being Relay For Life weekend and they will also be conducting the 50/50 too, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. If you've never seen a ASCS-Northwest Region event at Cottage Grove then you are missing out as you will see side-by-side, even three wide, action lap after lap.

CGS hosted a pair of races to close out the Triple Track Challenge in late May and Seth Bergman managed to pick up wins on both nights. But with Bergman returning to ASCS-National Tour duty a new face just might grace victory lane. Bergman leads the 2014 ASCS-Northwest Region win column with two series victories over Andy Forsberg and Jared Peterson who each have one win.

In domestic competition Henry Van Dam won a thriller of a main event during the Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic on May 31st after a breathtaking battle for the win with Kyle Hirst. Roger Crockett is the only other feature winner at the historic ¼-mile clay oval in 2014 as he won the track’s first race of the season on April 12th.

There have been twenty-four ASCS sanctioned events at CGS since 2008 with seven different winners. Roger Crockett leads that win list with a total of twelve visits to victory lane including all six visits in 2013. Jason Johnson has four wins at Cottage Grove while Shane Stewart and Seth Bergman have been in the winner’s circle twice. Drivers who have won once when the tour has been in town include Jesse Hockett, Wayne Johnson, Brady Bacon, and Henry Van Dam.

For each night the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:45. Ticket prices per event are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.

Be sure and don’t miss a lap of the action as the ASCS-Northwest Region as the area’s best 360 Sprint Car drivers will contest on seven different race tracks in three different states that include Oregon, Washington, and California.
