Cottage Grove, Oregon- The annual Cottage Grove Speedway Modified Nationals will be returning to CGS on Friday June 27th and Saturday the 28th. In this release we will outline the format as well as discuss the pay structure for this great event.

On Friday a complete program will be ran with points awarded in qualifying, heat races, and the main event and will be a regular purse. Also Friday a Race Of Champions will be ran for drivers that have either won the Cottage Grove Speedway Modified Nationals, Modified Tribute To Clair at Willamette Speedway, the Bill Mills Memorial in Madras Speedway, Northwest Modified Nationals at Gray Harbor Raceway, or the Lon Skinner Memorial at Southern Oregon Speedway. You can also get into the race by being a former track champion at any track in any division but this is limited to the first twenty drivers that sign up.

The Race of Champions will be pay $400.00 to win, $250.00 for second, and $100.00 for third. The winner will also receive a perpetual trophy and a commerative jacket. The top two finishers in the prelim feature or the Race Of Champions will be locked into Saturday’s scramble and will start no worse than tenth in the feature. The balance of the scramble will be made up of the top six drivers in Friday’s points that did not finish in the top two in either the prelim feature or the ROC.

Saturday will be main events only and the payout for the feature will be based on car count but will at least be $1000.00 to win and $100.00 to start. The more the car count the more the payout. To compete for the weekend there is a registration fee of $100.00 for both days and to participate in the Race Of Champions is $25.00. For any other questions feel free to contact Cottage Grove Speedway General Manager Heather Boyce at (541) 729-8666.
