Cottage Grove, Oregon- The Northwest Wingless Tour returns to racing this Saturday July 12th for the first time in nearly a month. They will compete at Cottage Grove Speedway the site of their first race of 2014. The ¼-mile clay oval has hosted some great Non-Wing Sprint Car action in the past and looks to live up to that reputation this weekend.

Already in 2014 there have been three different winners in as many events with the NWWT. Mike Romig, Colin Baker, and Sean Johnson have all managed to find victory lane this year. Another fact to point out is all three victors during the current campaign have all been first time winners with the series.

Eighteen total NWWT sanctioned races have occurred at CGS since the series was formed in 2009. Kyle Miller has a firm grip of the win list with twelve triumphs including six times in 2013. Kyler Barraza is the only other multi-race winner with two while Roger Crockett, Dale Smith, Kyle Mehner, and most recently Colin Baker have all won once.

Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:45. Tickets are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00. In 2014 the Northwest Wingless Tour will participate in eight events at four different facilities in the Pacific Northwest. For the latest information log on to wingless.nwextremeseries.com. Also be sure and “like” us on Facebook.
