Cottage Grove, Oregon- it’s that time of the year again. Time for the Cottage Grove Speedway to dedicate an entire night reflecting on the decade’s long legacy of the ¼-mile clay oval. The annual Historical Night is set for this Saturday August 2nd. Classes that will be on tap include the Huddle Automotive Repair 360 Sprints, Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hornets. During the course of the night the 2014 class will be inducted into the Wall Of Fame and after all the racing has concluded a Fireworks display will be on tap.

In the Huddle Automotive Repair 360 Sprints two drivers have managed to win twice, those being Henry Van Dam and Seth Bergman. Drivers gracing victory lane on just one occasion include Kyle Hirst, J.J. Hickle, Roger Crockett, Logan Forler, and Colin Baker.

The Late Models in 2014 have been dominated by the “House of Mayea”. Rob Mayea has scored three wins while his nephew Shaun has two. The only other driver to finish on top in main event action has been Blaine Taylor.

The IMCA Modifieds are coming off of a very busy Wild West Modified Speedweek. Braedon Hand still has the most wins, with four, while the only of multi-feature winner is Mark Wauge with his three victories. Tom Berry Jr., Jesse Williamson, Nick Trenchard, and Alex Stanford have been in the winner’s circle just once in the current campaign.

Evan Britton’s win last week kept him on top of the win chart this season in the Street Stock division. Britton has five wins while Justin Evans has three wins while Steve Begley and T.J. Langan have one each.

In the Hornets Taunton Swaim got back into victory lane last time he was out to record his fifth victory of the year. Chris Pierce is the only other multi-feature winner with four with Josh Corley, K.C. Scott, and Eric Cooper all single feature winners.

Tickets are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00. Front Gates will open at 4:00 PM and Racing starts around 6:45. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com and click “Fan Info”.
