Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway will have two nights of action this weekend starting off with the Kage Karts on Friday August 8th. Then on Saturday the 9th the historic ¼-mile clay oval will host the BC Motorsports Northwest Extreme Sprints, Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and Hornets for Cottage Grove Area Chamber Of Commerce/Pepsi Family Night.

Danny Horner still leads the BC Motorsports Northwest Extreme Sprints win column with three victories. Dave Hibbard is the only other multi-feature winner with two and drivers who have won once include Jesse Thistle, Orion Redmond, and Colin Baker.

With his win last week Shaun Mayea is now level with his uncle Rob as the “House of Mayea” continues to dominate at Cottage Grove Speedway. Both drivers have scored three wins each while Blaine Taylor is the only other driver to make it to victory lane.

In the IMCA Modifieds it’s still Braedon Hand with the most wins, at four, and Mark Wauge still has three. Drivers with just a single triumph include Jesse Williamson, Tom Berry Jr., Alex Stanford, Nick Trenchard, and Collen Winebarger.

The Hornets have been ultra-competitive this season. Both Taunton Swaim and Chris Pierce have five wins each. Also on the win chart includes Eric Cooper, Josh Corley, and K.C. Scott with all three paying just one trip to the winner’s circle.

General admission to the Kart race on Friday will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $35.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 3:00 PM and the Pit Meeting is at 6:00 PM with Hot Laps and Racing to follow.

On Saturday Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:45. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.
