Cottage Grove, Oregon- Trey Starks had a perfect couple of nights last weekend. The Puyallup, Washington native scored the first win in the history of the Western Sprint Tour at Cottage Grove Speedway on Friday April 24th. He would back it up with a victory in local competition in his home state at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma. Now Starks will tackle the Cottage Grove Speedway this Saturday May 2nd for Fan Appreciation Night presented by Huddle Automotive Repair.

“Last weekend was the best possible outcome, it's what our goal is going into every weekend,” commented Starks, “you want to win every race but that doesn't happen all the time.”

Before last weekend Starks' best finish was a couple of fifth place performances in Washington. Starks has traveled around quite a bit in 2015 including races in the states of Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, and Arizona as well as the state of Victoria in Australia. Trey will once again be behind the wheel of the Starks Timber Processing/Southstar Equipment Limited/Rutz Racing/T&C Concepts/Blue Dot Fabrication/MASCO Petroleum/Vahlco Racing Wheels/Fisher Racing Engines #55 J&J.

“We're not going to change much on the car so it's pretty much ready to go,” he would continue, “going to Cottage Grove you know right off of the bat that Brian (Crockett) is going to have an awesome surface for all of us to race on.”

Other classes include the IMCA Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, and the Quality RV Repair Hornets. Admission prices are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, 5 & Under FREE, and a Family Pass (consisting of two adults and up to four youths) is $30.00. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45.
