The Cottage Grove Speedway racing community has lost a racer to the speedway in heaven recently with the passing of longtime driver Melvin Walker. Melvin was a big supporter of CGS from Demolition Derby cars, Street Stocks, and Hornets. Our thoughts and prayers are with Melvin's family.
The funeral service for Melvin Walker will be on Saturday May 9th at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family would like to inform all racers and track personal that they are more than welcome to attend the service. The Pleasant Hill Cemetery is located at 3609 Jolene Drive in Pleasant Hill, Oregon and just off of Highway 58.
