Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway will be back in action on Saturday May 16th for Community Sharing Night. This is a great event to help support the local community. If you bring a can of non-perishable food you will receive a $2.00 discount at the admission booth. Classes that are racing include the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, Street Stocks, and the Quality RV Repair Hornets.

The Clark Printing Extreme Sprints have only raced once this season and defending champ Dave Hibbard was the winner. But it sounds like there is going to be some new faces showing up to enhance the already large and talented class of cars. There should be a great car count for this division this weekend.

Three races have produced three different winners in the IMCA Modified ranks. Jesse Williamson, Braedon Hand, and Kinzer Cox have all scored a win. Last week was some great racing with multiple lead changes and some awesome three-wide action. Look for that to continue on Saturday.

The IMCA SportMods on the other hand have just raced once. Gene Ashley is the one to beat but there is going to be some determined drivers to try and beat the veteran driver. It should be a fun night for the “B-Mods”.

Chris Sine is on a bit of a hot streak by winning the last two Street Stock features. Steve Dubisar is the only other driver to have won in the class so far. But someone that is getting closer and closer is Evan Britton. Will the defending champion win his first race of 2015?

Finally the Quality RV Repair Hornets have put on some great races. Four drivers have been winners in four events including Joe Maricle, Dan Jenkinson, Jim Simmons, and last week's victor Josh Corley. A couple of drivers looking to open up their accounts in the win column are Taunton Swaim and last year's champion Chris Pierce.

Admission prices are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, and 5 & Under FREE. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45. Be sure and keep up to date with the latest news and information on CGS by logging on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com or call the Northwest Track Hotline at (360)-699-RACE.
