In addition to the Northwest Wingless Tour racing at Cottage Grove Speedway on June 27th so were the IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Quality RV Repair Hornets. All divisions would have the crowd on their feet in excitement with nail biting action for pretty much every lap. The event was presented by the folks at Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.

In the first ten laps of the IMCA Modified feature an epic battle would take place between Kinzer Cox and Kreg Britton. The two Cottage Grove natives would exchange the lead on several occasions with the Commonwealth Financial Network/Dot's Trophy Shop/Mickey's Affordable Auto Sales #77 X-Factor, of Britton, running the high side and Kinzer Cox working the bottom. Cox would secure the lead on lap nine and kept in front of all challengers to win his third victory for the Robert Howell Logging/Hard Knocks Brewing/Scoggins Creek Coffee/Salisbury Farms #1K Loose Gruff team.

Another couple of Cottage Grove drivers would battle hard in the Street Stock main event. The Casto Racing #3 Monte Carlo of Jeff Casto and Evan Britton would wage a battle for the lead that would last pretty much the entire race. Britton was able to win out eventually to finally get to the winner's circle for the first time in 2015 in his D&L Truck Parts/Robert Howell Logging/Clark Printing/Todd's Auto Body #85 Nova.

Capturing the lead on lap five Springfield's K.C. Scott was in prime form in the Quality RV Repair Hornets. Scott, driving his Dr. Vape Products/Quantum Mechanics/Big B Tire #30 Mazda Protege, would hold back all challengers to win his first race of the year. It was Scott's first win in quite some time.

Cottage Grove Speedway will be hosting a doubleheader during Independence Day weekend. Friday July 3rd will feature the Western Sprint Tour 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, and Vintage Cars. Then on Saturday July 4th the WST Sprints are back along with Vintage Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, and a Demolition Derby. A massive fireworks display will be put on after all the racing is over.

For each night the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:45. Ticket prices per event are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.
