Cottage Grove, Oregon- One of the crown jewel events of IMCA Modified racing in the Pacific Northwest will be taking place on Friday July 10th and Saturday the 11th. The Cottage Grove Speedway Modified Nationals will be for the first time ever ran in honor of Mark Howard who was a very inspirational person to many people in the pit area and a driving mentor to several drivers that grace CGS.

Some of the best IMCA Modified drivers in the area will be here for the two nights of action. Saturday night's main event is $2,600.00 to win and $100.00 to start. The driver entry fee is $100.00 for both days of racing and to pre-register there is also a link the form below this release. Pit Passes are the normal $30.00 each for crew members.

Returning for the third straight year will be the Race Of Champions which will be ran on Friday night. It will feature a race full of past champions and 2015 Modified feature winners. To sign up call CGS General Manager Heather Boyce (541)-729-8666. The entry fee for this race is $20.00 but hurry space is limited.

The 2015 format will be a point system where the top ten in main event, heat race and qualifying points from Friday get locked into Saturday's feature. The rest of the drivers will re-qualify through heats on the second night and will be starting behind the locked in cars. For more detailed information regarding the format click on the link below this story.
