Cottage Grove, Oregon- Jesse Williamson of Eugene is having a terrific 2015 season. Despite racing part-time he has accumulated some very impressive accolades. They include the Bill Mills Memorial at Madras Speedway in May and the Wild West Modified Shootout in June. He enters the Mark Howard Memorial Cottage Grove Speedway Modified Nationals, on Friday July 10th and Saturday the 11th, as a four-time winner of the race including the last two.

Williamson is tied with Jon DeBenedetti for the most CGS Mod National crowns. Jesse enters his first race on Friday since being declared the Modified Speedweek champion on June 20th.

“This year has been amazing,” said Williamson, “it'll be good to be back at Cottage Grove again. I've been able to win this race four times all in different cars so I'm looking to keep that streak alive.”

He already has accumulated three victories at CGS this year including the Mod Speedweek date. Not only will be he piloting the NexGen Race Cars/Furniture Options/Double R Powdercoating/Housing Options/JDM Racing Solutions #W5 NexGen but he will also be in a Late Model for both dates. He will drive Jerry Schram's Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies By Steve-O #16W MasterSbilt which he has won once already in at Cottage Grove.

“The boys have really been going over the Modified and have found some stuff wrong with it,” continued Williamson, “it should be really fast this weekend and we are definitely going to release the tiger.”

Admission prices both nights are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, and 5 & Under FREE. Times for each race are Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45.
