The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series would be back for another night of thrilling action at Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday July 11th. The car count would still be a strong twenty-two entries in the pit area representing the states of Oregon and Washington.

The Seth Anderson Racing Engines/Team S.D.M.F. #88M Warrior of Randy Martin would pace the field in the opening circuits. Martin, from Eugene and only making a handful of starts this year, would battle with Jesse Williamson for the lead. Williamson would eventually obtain the position on lap five.

Williamson, also from Eugene, would set a wicked pace. The only thing slowing him down would be the three cautions of the course of the race. He would lead the rest of the distance to win his second straight NELMS race of the season in the Jerry Schram owned Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies By Steve-O #16W MasterSbilt.

Vancouver, Washington's Jerry Schram was second in his Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies By Steve-O #16S MasterSbilt followed by Randy Martin in third. Collen Winebarger of Corbett would place fourth in the Discount Race Car Parts/FinishLine Graphics/Checkered Flag Paving & Sealcoating #S MasterSbilt while the Central Oregon Trucking/W.W. Trailers/Driving Force Graphics/Ohlins By JDR #31B Rocket, driven by Redmond's Ron Brewster, got fifth.

The Paul and Maria Culp owned Superior Fuel Cells/All Pro Steel/Rapid Delivery Service/Superior Silk Screening & Embroidery #42 X-Factor, chauffered by Curtis Towns of Cottage, was fast time of the night and Sweet Home's Kye Frick would win the trophy dash in his No Drought Potable Water Service/Stetson Racing Engines/Oregon Fuel Injection #08 Swartz. Heat races were won by Collen Winebarger, Jesse Williamson, and Frick. The LW Motorsports/Wounded Warriors Project/Hope4Heroes.org/Sproul Timber #16 MasterSbilt of Rob Williams hailing from Cottage Grove would win the consolation feature.

The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will return to action on Saturday July 25th at Sunset Speedway Park after a week off. For the latest news and info regarding the NELMS series visit latemodel.nwextremeseries.com.
