Cottage Grove, Oregon- This weekend Cottage Grove Speedway will be a busy place with some awesome racing in store for its fans. Things will kick off on Friday July 24th for the Kage Karts and then Saturday the 25th. Saturday will feature the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints, Late Models, IMCA Sport Mods, Quality RV Repair Hornets, and Late Model Lites.

General admission to the Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $30.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 3:00 PM and the Pit Meeting is at 6:00 PM with Hot Laps and Racing to follow.

The Clark Printing Extreme Sprints will be in competition for $1,000.00 to win courtesy of Herz Precision Parts. This race will be attracting teams from Oregon, Washington, and California. Dave Hibbard has had an amazing year with four feature wins. Single race winners include Colby Carter, Patrick Dills, and the most recent one Orion Redmond.

In the Late Models Curtis Towns has reigned supreme with five victories over the course of the season. Jesse Williamson has three total and is the only other winner while Bricen James, Joey Tanner, and Justin Duty each have one.

The IMCA Sport Mods are back in action after having their best car count of the year last week. Gene Ashley has the most win with his four trips to the winner's circle while Jordan Braaten and Jimmy Owen have one win each.

Joe Maricle still leads the Quality RV Repair Hornet win column with his four triumphs but Brandon Letsom is hot on his heals after getting his third victory last Saturday. Dan Jenkinson, Jim Simmons, and K.C. Scott are the only single race winners so far this season.

The Late Model Lites are making their first appearance of the whole year this Saturday. These are scaled down four-cylinder powered Late Models and should make for a really good show.

Admission prices are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, 5 & Under FREE, and a Family Pass (consisting of two adults and up to four youths) is $35.00. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
