The Northwest Wingless Tour wold get their final race of the season in the books on Saturday September 12th at Cottage Grove Speedway. The event would see a very good car count to the close the campaign out. A total of nineteen cars were in attendance representing the states of Oregon and Washington.

Cooper Desbiens of Sutherlin was the early race leader for the first handful of laps in his J.H. Desbiens Construction/Budget Lumber/BC Motorsports/Van Lare Steering Repair #4D John Boy. Evan Margeson would make the right moves to get around him on lap four to get the top spot. Margeson would stay in the position for the rest of the distance and dominated the field in his TFC Plating/LRB Manufacturing/Lucas Oil Products/Simpson Racing Products #50 Maxim.

Margeson would get the win for his third career victory against the NWWT. It was the first time has done so with the series at Cottage Grove. He became the seventh different winner in the 2015 campaign with the Northwest Wingless Tour.

The Barraza Motorsports/Hedge Carter Gutter Service/Oregon Tool & Supply #87 XXX of Kyler Barraza, from Roseburg, was second followed by Thurston's Ricky Ashley in third in his Clark Printing/Todd's Auto Body/BC Motorsports/Team 85 #85 entry. Tim Alberding of Salem was fourth in the Alberding Racing #52 Maxim while Cooper Desbiens was scored in fifth despite getting upside down on the final circuit.

Auburn, Washington's Jonathan Jorgeson was fast time of the night in his Jorgenson Manufacturing/Shareway Industries/D.G. Machine #2J J&J but destroyed his car on the second lap while the Machined For Speed By Craig Jensen/Baxter's Auto Parts/G.K. Machine #6A XXX of Kady Aldeman, from Salem, was the dash winner. Guy Weedman of Moro, in his Weedman Ranches #27W Maxim, Kady Adelman, and the Top Coat Powder/Pure Addiction Diesel/Randy Busser Sandblasting #15R Maxim of Forest Grove's Jake Gilman were heat race winners.

When all of the racing was completed Tim Alberding was declared the champion of the Northwest Wingless Tour. Alberding became the seventh different champ in the seven season history of the NWWT and won two races in 2015. Alberding is a former Oregon Double Shot Series and Cottage Grove Speedway Non-Wing champion also.
