Cottage Grove Speedway would host the final Kage Kart race of 2015 on Friday September 18th. It would be the last hurrah for the rising stars of CGS. There was some very exciting action especially in the Open Kage feature.

Tallon Dubisar of Coquille led all but the first lap of the Pee Wee main event to go on to capture his seventh win of the season. The driver of the Lil' Stinker Portable Toilets/Denny's Pizza/Dave Chappelle Enterprises #14 QRC would also win he championship.

Eagle Point's Brenden Bartlett would be dominant in the 5HP Intermediate feature. He would lead every single lap in his Roof Line Supply/Hays Handyman/Les Schwab Tire Center of North Medford/Bartlett Construction #25B QRC. Isaac Stere, from Cottage Grove, was the point winner in the Willy's Barber & Style/Torrero's Mexican Restaurant/Jim Downing Real Estate #32 QRC.

Justin Lemon would sweep the events of the 125cc division. The Cottage Grove gasser won both heat races and led the entirety of the main event. It was the fifth win for the Phoenix Enterprises/Bear Racing Components/Griffith Family Racing/Inspection Center Northwest #42 QRC. Lemon also would win the championship.

Brody Sim from Albany entered the evening already the 250cc champion. Sim would put up a great performance in the feature leading every circuit. It was the third win of the season a CGS for the Crocker's Cars/McGriff Motorsports/Lucas Oil Products/Big Sky Landscaping #04 RFC entry.

Last but not least the Open Kage main event was a incident filled affair with six stoppages. Jake Ferguson, out of Cottage Grove, got the lead on the first lap in the Dragonflydecals.com/Comfort Suites of Salem #22J Quantum and never gave it up. Ferguson, participating in his first race since June, would win in his second start of 2015.

The battle for the title going back and forth all feature long it would be settled with just a handful of laps remaining. The Chris Rolfe Motorsports/Essex Construction/Robert Howell Logging/Fix Auto & Collision #20 QRC of Cottage Grove native Casey Doolittle would emerge as the eventual champion.

The Cottage Grove Speedway Kart Banquet will be on Saturday October 10th at 5:00 PM. It will be held at My Boys Slate Fired Pizza in Creswell.
