Cottage Grove, Oregon- If you are a Sprint Car fan in the Pacific Northwest one of the must see weekly programs is Cottage Grove Speedway. The 360 Sprints on the ¼-mile clay oval will simply take your breath away and it’s a popular stop for many drivers across the globe. The division has a long and storied tradition at CGS going as far back as 1986 and is the oldest class still competing at the facility.

Trey Starks made the long journey from Washington on several occasions last season and looked to have the title won. Unfortunately, he missed the last race and that would give the championship to Seth Nunes. Nunes however won’t be visiting Cottage Grove too much, as in year’s past, as he will run the majority of his season in the Golden State of California.

With Nunes’ absence that means anyone can win the championship. Patrick Dills, Chelsea Blevins, and Ricky Ashley are a couple of drivers that will be making more appearances in 360s after spending a bit of time in the Extreme Sprint ranks.

Currently the 360 Sprints will be in action on nine different times in 2016 including the Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic on May 28th and 29th as well as the Speedweek Northwest event on Independence Day (July 4th). It’s a great way to watch some of the best drivers not just in Oregon but also the Pacific Northwest on a regular basis. The first race for the division is April 9th.

In honor of Cottage Grove Speedway’s 60th Anniversary the first 60 fans through the front gate get in for FREE. Pit Gates open at 1:00, Front Gates 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:30. Tickets are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youth (6-12) - $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE. Pit Passes will be offered for $30.00 each.
