Dills Looking Forward to Extreme Sprints Return at Cottage Grove

Inside Line Promotions – COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (April 26, 2016) – Rain dampened the excitement for Patrick Dills last weekend. He was set to return to 360 sprint car action at Cottage Grove Speedway, but the weekend was washed out.

“We were really excited to race the 360 … that is our focus this season,” Dills said.

The time off did give the team extra time to get the Extreme Sprints sprint car engine freshened.

“We will put the limited engine back in this week and we have like four limited shows in a row,” said Dills, who is the Cottage Grove Speedway defending champion in the Extreme Sprints class.

“Hopefully we’ll pick up some wins and it will give us more confidence when we go back to 360 racing. At least we won’t have to swap out motors for a few weeks.”

Dills will be back in action at Cottage Grove Speedway this Saturday with the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints division.

Dills posted a 10th-place finish on April 16 at Cottage Grove with the Extreme Sprints. He set fast time, won his heat and placed second in the dash. In the feature he raced his way to second, but he dropped out after a weld broke on a header.
