Cottage Grove, Oregon- Two events are scheduled for this upcoming weekend at Cottage Grove Speedway. This Saturday, May 7th, will see the historic ¼-mile clay oval return to action while Friday, the 6th, is the first race of 2016 for Kage Karts. Moms wanting to attend the races on Saturday will get in for $10.00 but don’t forget to bring all the kids with you. Classes on hand for Saturday include Clark Printing Extreme Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, Late Models, and the Quality RV Repair Hornets.

On Friday for the Kart races General Admission is FREE and Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $35.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and the Pit Meeting is at 6:00 PM with Hot Laps and Racing to follow.

The Clark Printing Extreme Sprints have raced just twice this season. In both action packed events there have been two different winners. Dusty Redmond was victorious in the first event while Dave Hibbard returned to victory lane after a brief hiatus.

In three IMCA Modified features there have been three different winners. Collen Winebarger, Craig Hanson, and Mark Wauge have all tasted success at “The Grove”. Will the theme continue and a fourth different winner hoist the trophy at the end of the night?

The Late Models will be making their return. The division has not raced since the Season Opener back in early April. Darren Coffell was the winner of that race after taking the lead around the halfway mark.

Finally, the Quality RV Repair Hornets are back for their fourth race of the year. Josh Corley has been the guy to beat as of late. Corley has managed to win the last two events in the class and will look to make it three in a row on Saturday. K.C. Scott is the only other winner after getting the job done on the first night of action.

Tickets are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youth (6-12) - $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE. Pit Passes will be offered for $30.00 each. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, and Racing is scheduled to start around 6:30.
