Crockett Crushes ASCS Northwest at Cottage Grove

Lonnie Wheatley, COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (July 3, 2010) – Roger Crockett defended his home turf in convincing fashion by charging to American Sprint Car Series Northwest victory lane at Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday night.

Crockett raced into the lead in the early portion and lapped much of the field in the opening night of the two-night stand at Cottage Grove for his second series win of the year and 12th career ASCS Northwest victory.

Crockett took the checkered flag ahead of Henry Van Dam, with Mitch Olson, 20th-starter Jason Solwold and Chadd Noland rounding out the top five.

Seth Bergman was sixth, with Brock Lemley, Shane Forte, Jayme Barnes and Jared Peterson completing the top ten.

Van Dam, Olson, Lemley, Steven Tiner and Crockett topped heat race action for Saturday night’s 40-car field, with Logan Forler and Colin Baker winning the twin “B” Mains.
