2009 Season Review: Competed in a total of 35 World of Outlaws events in 2009, winning in his debut at Riverside International Speedway in Arkansas and earning 17 Top-10 finishes with five Top-Fives, which was good enough for 14th in the final standings.

Kaeding won a total of nine times in 2009 including at Knoxville Raceway in one of the preliminaries for the Knoxville Nationals. He also was triumphant a couple of times in his home state of California with the Golden State Challenge Series and also was triumphant with the Interstate Racing Association in Wisconsin, as well as in one of the preliminary nights for the famed Western World in Arizona.
