The Hornets would be the support class on Thursday July 24th as the Wild West Modified Speedweek was in town. Eleven Hornets would sign in on the registration sheets.

K.C. Scott of Springfield would lead the first couple of laps in his Dr. Vape Products/Dalton Carpet/K.C. Scott Sculptures #30 Mazda Protégé. Swaim, driving the Randy Kuhl owned Bigg Dogg Recycling/DT Machine & Fab/More Of Everything Racing Collectibles/Rapid Delivery Services #17 Toyota Tacoma, would lead the rest of the distance to pick up his fifth Hornet win at CGS in 2014.

The Maricle Stainless #11 Toyota Celica GT of Joe Maricle from Veneta was second and crossing the wire in third was Eric Cooper of Cottage Grove in his Eastside Rollforming Specialties/R&D Specialties #32 Nissan 200SX. The rest of the top five would be K.C. Scott in fourth and Pleasant Hill’s Justin Austin in the Mike Swaim owned Rapid Delivery Services/DT Machine & Fab/Bigg Dogg Recycling in fifth.
