Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway is going to be mighty busy in the coming days as we start to wrap up the month of June. As schools complete their 2018-19 calendars and kids are let out for summer vacation what better place to go than the famed ¼-mile clay oval. In honor of all the recent graduates those bright individuals will get into the races for FREE on Saturday, June 22nd, for Grad Night. Classes in action are the Todd’s Auto Body Sprint Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, Hornets, and the Iron Giant Street Stock Series.

But wait it doesn’t end there. The IMCA Wild West Modified Shootout will bring the IMCA Modified drivers in the Pacific Northwest and beyond on Monday, June 24th, and Tuesday, the 25th. Street Stocks will be the Monday support division while on Tuesday that honor will belong to the Hornets.

For all three dates the Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Front Gates 3:30, and Racing is scheduled to get kicked off at 6:00. Saturday tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Juniors/Military $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 & Under) are FREE. CGS offers a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) for $35.00, VIP Skybox Seating is $25.00 each, and Pit Passes are $30.00.

For Monday and Tuesday, a Car Load Special will be offered for $10.00 each night. So fit as many races fans as you can to get into the races for an incredible deal. For more information and updates log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com or check out the official Facebook page.

In 2019 Todd’s Auto Body Sprint Car action Tanner Holmes is the only repeat winner of the season, with two victories to his credit. Making just a single visit to victory lane include Tyler Thompson and Ian Bandey. Jorddon Braaten and Matt Sanders are tied for most wins in the IMCA Sport Mods, at two each. Buddy McHargue, Skyler Winebarger, and David Schmidt have managed to win one feature apiece.

With the Iron Giant Street Stock series in the house on Saturday expect a great car count with some awesome racing. The tour will have a $1000.00 to win and $100.00 to start feature with fifty laps the scheduled distance. Kelly McDonald and David Schmidt have been the two local Street Stock winners in the first two races of the campaign. In the Hornets, both Graig Osborne and Joe Maricle are atop the win chart tied at two each while Eric Ashley has been triumphant just once.

Lastly, in the Mohawk Metal IMCA Modified scene Collen Winebarger and Jake Mayden each have two victories to their names. Derrick Young, Eric Ashley, and Kevin Williamson are the three individuals to have posted a single win to their names. Teams from as far as North Dakota and the Canadian province of British Columbia are expected to be on hand as well as travelers as far south as central California.
