Cox, Ropchan, B. Cronk, And Moffett Earn Grad Night Wins At Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove, Oregon- Saturday, June 22nd, was Grad Night at Cottage Grove Speedway honoring the Class of 2019 graduates. A full pit area and four classes inhabited the pit area including the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints, IMCA Sport Mods, and Hornets along with the Iron Giant Street Stock Series. All four winners visited victory lane for the first time this season.
Cottage Grove’s Kinzer Cox had a breakthrough win in the Todd’s Auto Body Sprint cars while Gavin Ropchan, of Veneta, picked up a huge victory in the IMCA Sport Mods. Eugene native Brad Moffett finally accrued his first Hornet triumph of the season after so many top five finishes. Portland gasser Brian Cronk would best the competition in the Iron Giant Street Stock fifty-lap main event.
Cottage Grove Speedway returns to racing on Monday, June 24th, and Tuesday, the 25th. The IMCA Wild West Modified Shootout will be on hand for both nights bringing teams from all over the Western United States and British Columbia, Canada. The support class for Monday will be Street Stocks while the Hornets will take over that role on Tuesday.
Both nights Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 3:30 PM, with Racing beginning at 6:00 PM. As mentioned above both races will offer a $10.00 Car Load Special so pack those vehicle (safely) with as many race fans as possible. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com .
