Cottage Grove Speedway Returns For Karts On Friday And Ladies Night Saturday; All Ladies 18+ FREE Admission

Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway has two night of racing this weekend starting off on Friday, June 28th, with Karts. Then the ¼-mile clay oval will host Ladies Night on Saturday, the 29th. All Ladies (18+) get into the races for FREE. Classes running include the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints, Late Models, IMCA Sport Mods, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

On Friday for Karts the Pit Gates open at 3:00 PM and the Pit Meeting (with Hot Laps/Racing to follow) at 6:00. General Admission is FREE, Pit Passes $10.00, and Car/Driver Entry $35.00. On Saturday the Pit Gates open at 1:00 PM, Front Gates 3:30, and Time Trials at 5:30 with Racing beginning at 6:00. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Juniors/Military $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 & Under) are FREE. CGS offers a Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) for $35.00, VIP Skybox Seating is $25.00 each, and Pit Passes are $30.00. For the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints Tanner Holmes is the only repeat winner, with two trips to victory lane, while Tyler Thompson, Kinzer Cox, and Ian Bandey have all won once. Paul Culp, Joey Tanner, and Brian Smith have been the only three feature winners in three races thus far in 2019. The IMCA Sport Mods have witnessed six winners in eight races. Jorddon Braaten and Matt Sanders each have managed to accrue two victories each while Buddy McHargue, Gavin Ropchan, David Schmidt, and Skyler Winebarger have gotten the job done once.

In the Street Stocks David Schmidt has two wins to his name while Kelly McDonald and Brian Cronk are one-time victors this season. Lastly, in the Hornets both Graig Osborne and Joe Maricle have twice bested the field in seven races. Brad Moffett, Eric Ashley, and Mark Milligan all have one visit to the winner’s circle so far.
