The weekend will utilize a unique format, similar to Thunderbowl Raceway’s Trophy Cup, with the Todd’s Auto Body Sprints, Mohawk Metal IMCA Modifieds, and IMCA Sport Mods on the card. Traditionally it has been a showcase for just the IMCA Sport Mods but it has expanded to include the other two classes competing. The IMCA Sport Mods have three drivers tied with the most main event successes. Gavin Ropchan is on a hot streak with two consecutive wins. Matt Sanders and defending track champion Jorddon Braaten also have twice won contests at “The Grove”. Buddy McHargue, David Schmidt, and Skyler Winebarger have each hit pay dirt on one occasion. Daniel Ray won the first Freedom Cup in 2017 and Jorddon Braaten is the defending cup holder.

The Todd’s Auto Body Sprints have witnessed both Tanner Holmes and Tyler Thompson achieving two wins to their credit. Ian Bandey and Kinzer Cox each have one win to their names thus far in 2019. Several Mohawk Metal IMCA Modified teams are coming off of an extremely busy Wild West Modified Shootout series. Collen Winebarger leads the local Modified win column with three trips to victory lane at CGS while defending track champion Jake Mayden has conquered the field twice. Single race prizeman includes Kellen Chadwick, Eric Ashley, Derick Young, and Kevin Williamson.
