Big Weekend Up
For Cottage Grove Speedway

Cottage Grove,
Oregon- Big money will be on the line
this weekend at the Cottage Grove
Speedway for the 360 Sprints. On Friday
night it will $1,200 to win and $200 to
start the feature and on Saturday $2,000
to win and $300 to start. With big
money on the line expect to see some big
hitters try and take the prize money
home. So far there have been five 360
Sprint races at the Cottage Grove
Speedway and only two different
winners. Roger Crockett of Medford has
won the most with four but Chadd Noland
of Central Point won the most recent
installment early last month. Also
following Saturday’s races their will be
a
fireworks
display. Payout information below.
Also on the card
for the weekend will be the Northwest
I-5 DIRTcar Series making their final
stop at the famed ¼ mile. The last time
the series was here in late May Casey
Vitale of Albany made a daredevil pass
on Jeremy Shank of Salem to win the
first ever race of the series. So far
the series has been very competitive as
in three individual races there have
been three different winners: Vitale,
Shank, and Sweet Home’s Brett
McCutcheon.
Support classes
for the Friday race will be Limited
Sprints, All-American Street Stocks, Pro
4’s, and Late Models (non-points). On
Saturday night’s action Limited Sprints
will be on hand along with Modifieds,
All-American Street Stocks, and also Pro
4’s. And on Sunday the only support
class will be the WRS4 Cylinder Late
Models.
