Cottage Grove, Oregon- This Saturday September 12th Cottage Grove Speedway will return to racing. It will be the fifth event at the historic 1/4-mile clay oval in a week's time. The facility will be offering a special price for Military members to get into the races for just $5.00.

Classes racing include the Northwest Wingless Tour, IMCA Sport Mods, Late Model Lites, and Dwarf Cars. For the IMCA Sport Mods it will be a NON-POINT affair due to the IMCA Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa.

The Northwest Wingless Tour has paid three visit to CGS this year. Kyle Miller has won twice and Cooper Desbiens once. It also happens to be the final race of 2015 for the NWWT and the champ will be crowned after all the action has been completed.

Gene Ashley leads the IMCA Sport Mods in both the point and win columns. Ashley has visited the winner's circle on five occasions this year. Jordan Braaten is the only other multi-feature winner, with two, while Kolby Clay and Jimmy Owen each have one win.

Medford's Josh King won the last time Dwarf Cars were at “The Grove” back in June. Over thirty drivers were on hand that night and just as many if not more will be here on Saturday. This is the last chance to see these cars at Cottage Grove.

The Late Model Lites have been to CGS once this year. In the only visit, on July 25th, Randy Hansen was the winner. These are scaled down Late Models that utilize four-cylinder engines.

Admission prices are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, and 5 & Under FREE. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45. Be sure and keep up to date with the latest news and information on CGS by logging on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com or call the Northwest Track Hotline at (360)-699-RACE.
