Cottage Grove, Oregon- If you love IMCA Modified racing then be sure and don’t miss this Monday June 13th and Tuesday the 14th. Cottage Grove Speedway will be hosting the third and fourth races of the 2016 Wild West Modified Shootout. Over forty-car are expected to make the trip and will be coming from all over the country including Colorado, North Dakota, British Columbia, and even North Carolina.

Mark Wauge is the only multi-feature winner of the class in local competition at CGS. Craig Hanson, Kinzer Cox, Collen Winebarger, Curtis Towns, Jake Mayden, and Jesse Williamson have also visited victory lane in 2016 at the famed ¼-mile clay oval.

Cottage Grove has hosted five Wild West Modified Shootout races since 2011. Jesse Williamson, who won in 2011 and 2015, is the only driver to have visited victory lane more than once. Alex Stanford and Nick Trenchard were the 2014 winners and Scott Lenz picked up a victory in 2012. The 2013 race was unfortunately fell victim to weather.

Prices for each night is $8.00 for General Admission, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Kids (5 and Under) are FREE. Two day passes are available for just $10.00. Both nights the Front Gates open at 4:00 with Racing scheduled to get underway at 6:00. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
