Cottage Grove, Oregon- It will be quite a busy weekend for Cottage Grove Speedway coming up. Karts will kick things off on Friday, August 5th. Then on Saturday, the 6th, it will be the very popular Fan Appreciation Night. Classes in action include the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, Late Models, IMCA Sport Mods, and the Quality RV Repair Hornets. This is where all of the cars in the pit area come out on to the track for fans to get up close and personal with every single one of them. Fans, ages 13+, get into the races for only $10.00.

For the Kart races General Admission is FREE and Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $35.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 4:00 PM and the Pit Meeting is at 6:00 PM with Hot Laps and Racing to follow.

In the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints Dave Hibbard, Dusty Redmond, and Patrick Dills are all two race winners. Ricky Ashley, Camden Robustelli, and Orion Redmond have visited the winner’s circle just once.

In the IMCA Modifieds Collen Winebarger and Mark Wauge each have the most triumphs this campaign at three. Craig Hanson, Jesse Williamson, and Jake Mayden got two wins to their credit while Curtis Towns, Kinzer Cox, Mark Carrell, and Kellen Chadwick compile the long list of single-race winners.

In the Late Models Ron Brewster now has the most victories with his win last weekend. Brewster has been a three-time victor while Britton Donahoo is the only other multi-feature winner with two, Drivers who have won once include Darren Coffell, Rob Campos, Jesse Williamson, and John Duty.

In the IMCA Sport Mods Jorddon Braaten still has the most victories this season, at five. Jimmy Lipke, Chris Frisbie, and Daniel Ray have all managed to make it to victory lane once in 2016.

In the Quality RV Repair, Hornets Joe Maricle tops the win list with his seven victories. Josh Corley is the only other driver to win more than once, with four, while Brad Moffett, K.C. Scott, and most recently Chris Pierce all have one win.

Times for Saturday are Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, and Racing is scheduled to start around 6:30. Youth (6-12) tickets are $5.00, Family Pass $30.00, and Children 5 or under are FREE.
