Cottage Grove Speedway
KAGE KART KING OF THE WEST INFO!!
Labor Day weekend is all about the kids here at Cottage Grove Speedway!
Kage Kart King of the West is back this weekend and we are ready to have some fun!! Friday night racing will start at normal time (see below for times) and Saturday we will race in the morning so everyone still has the rest of their weekend to enjoy! This will be a non-points race as the point season ended last Friday, August 25th!
General admission will be Free for both days races so come on down and watch these future racing stars battle it out on the kart track!!
Friday Times
Pit Gate - 3:00pm
Pill Draw Closes - 5:45pm
Pit Meeting - 6:00pm
Racing - 6:30pm
Saturday Times
Pit Gate - 8:00am
Pill Draw Closes - 9:45am
Pit Meeting - 10:00am
Racing - 10:30am
Entry Fees:
2 day entry for Non Money Classes (PeeWee, Beg. Box, Box Stock, 5HP Open, & Fart Karts) will be $80.00 total including driver pit pass both days
2 day entry for 250 classes will be $80.00 including driver pit pass for both days
2 day entry for Opens will be $90.00 including driver pit pass for both days
Friday Race Format:
1 Session Hot Laps
2 Heat Races by pill draw, 1st heat heads up by pill draw, 2nd heat complete invert by pill draw
Main Event lined up by total heat race points with a 6 car invert
Points will be totaled for heat races and main events. The top 6 in all classes except open and the top 10 in open points will be locked into a scramble race and the A Main on Saturday
Saturday Race Format
1 Session Hot Laps for all non scramble cars
1 Session Hot Laps for all scramble cars
10 lap heat race for all non scramble cars, starting order will be heads up by points from Saturday, the finish of these races will determine starting order behind the scramble cars
6 car 6 lap and 10 car 10 lap scrambles, starting order will be from random pill draw done, how you finish is how you will start the A Main
B Main Events – 12-15 laps
A Main Events – Laps will vary depending on class and car count, Opens will run a 50 lap A Main with a fuel only stop at the halfway point

Friday points will be awarded to the driver, to claim starting position it must be the same driver. NO SUBSTITUTIONS!!!
Rules will be standard Cottage Grove Speedway Rules
All drivers that take a competitive green flag lap will receive 50 points each day towards the season points. A competitive green flag lap means in a heat race or main event, hot laps will not count. A competitive lap must be made each day to receive that day’s points.
